PHOTO WORKSHOP PORTFOLIO REVIEWS JAM SESSIONS MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY PERSONAL ATTENTION
New Orleans workshops are personal and limited to a maximum of three participants. Workshops include lodging at the studio and four days of intensive photography and participation in New Orleans culture, especially music. Participants are encouraged to celebrate the musical culture in New Orleans. The studio is fully equipped for jam sessions and you will have a chance to participate, on any level that you wish with professional New Orleans musicians and then carry this experience into your photography. This can be anything from spending a day with a brass band, to taking a lesson from a great New Orleans pianist, to jamming here at the studio with my musician friends. The emphasis is on photography, but the music is an equal part of the process. If you can’t play its OK, you can get together with drummers and just learn! And then carry this into your photography.
Past participants include Dominic Bracco, Kirsten Luce, Lance Rosenfield, Lorena Vashetti, Charles Silver, Jerome Pennington. Jonathan Lipkin, Dana Tune Guyla Sopronyi Past mentors: Donna Ferrato, Stanley Greene, Karen Mullarkey, Alan Chin, Laurie Wasselchuk, Kevin Downs
