Andy Levín Weddings

About the Artist

Andy Levin is a photographer and artist from New Orleans, Louisiana, specializing in capturing the significant moments in life. Known as the photographer behind some of the classic images from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in the early 90's and as a contributing photographer with Life Magazine and People in New York City, Levin moved to Louisiana a year before Hurricane Katrina to share in the region's rich culture and musical heritage, and artistic scene. A finalist for the Eugene Smith Prize in 2008, and editor of the acclaimed internet photography journal 100eyes and is known for his intimate documentation of weddings, bar mizvahs, and personal portraiture. His limited edition prints are available for purchase, and he continues to offer photographic workshops to interested students, as well as a continued interest in emerging nations like Haiti. Levin works closely with non-profits in the New Orleans area and internationally such as Portland based Stand for Children.
